Meet Dr. Sinclair
Dr. Sinclair is a board-certified pediatrician who believes that easy access to evidence-based medical care is essential. She also knows that raising children is hard (she has three of them) and that kids never get sick at convenient times! She opened Roots and Wings Pediatrics to provide convenient access to excellent medical care for your children and to make life a little easier for everyone at stressful times.
Experience
Dr. Sinclair grew up in Charleston, WV and went to UNC-Chapel Hill for her undergraduate degree in Recreation Administration and Leisure Studies. After working in the recreation field for several years, she craved more intellectual challenge and entered medical school. She completed medical school at the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2009 and her residency in pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in 2012. She worked as a pediatric hospitalist and Complex Care physician at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the surrounding regional hospitals (Ohio Health Mansfield, Adena Regional Health Center, and Fairfield Medical Center) until 2023 when she opened Roots and Wings Pediatrics.

Meet Dr. Stevens
Dr. Stevens is a board-certified pediatrician who wants to provide excellent and evidence-based medical care without the limitations of traditional primary care. As a recent empty-nester, she wants to simplify access to medical care, particularly to working families with complicated schedules.
Dr. Stevens has experience assessing and managing patients with autism, ADHD, anxiety and depression, and complex medical conditions.
Experience
Dr. Stevens grew up in Lima, OH and attended Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut where she received her B.A. in Biology while playing college softball. She attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine from 1993-1997 before pursuing her internship and residency in Pediatrics at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Columbus Children’s Hospital. Dr. Stevens also completed a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital before joining the teaching faculty at Ohio State and practicing Emergency Medicine at Nationwide Children’s. In 2018, she made the transition to traditional primary care and worked on the east side of Columbus before joining Roots & Wings Pediatrics.
Why Choose Roots & Wings Pediatrics
The intellectual challenge of complex diagnoses has always intrigued Drs. Sinclair and Stevens. Talking with parents to help reassure them when their child is ill is among Dr. Sinclair’s favorite parts of being a physician. Both doctor’s strengths lie in teaching and both have won many awards for medical student and resident education. They also love teaching parents about their child’s development and diagnoses and what to expect, even when the children are not sick – despite both of their training and experience with critically ill children.
As parents, Drs. Sinclair and Stevens understand the fear and helplessness of caring for another human being! As working parents with partners who also have demanding careers, they very much understand the limitations on our time and the need for more flexibility and convenience with healthcare. After much thought and creativity, Dr. Sinclair founded Roots and Wings Pediatrics to allow other working parents easy access to evidence-based medicine and excellent pediatric care for their children while being able to provide the time and commitment to her patients she believes they deserve. She was thrilled to have Dr. Stevens join RWP in 2024!
